GET SALTY X SAVI

A Wine and Wellness Retreat

Oct 26-31, 2024|6 days|Tuscany, Italy

About This Event

Let’s raise our glasses, toasting not only to our health but also to this journey of balanced living enriched with zest and vitality!

The seamless synergy between fitness and fine wine is a beautiful ode to living in harmony. It embodies a holistic approach to wellbeing inviting us to care for our bodies while relishing life’s simple pleasures—a celebration of the delicate balance between self-indulgence and self-discipline.
This perspective reminds us that life’s joys are best savored in moderation, enriching not just our physical health, but also nurturing our mental and emotional wellbeing. Red wine contains natural substances, that when consumed mindfully, offer health benefits, including the ability to enhance exercise performance. Together, they form a holistic approach, nurturing both body & spirit. This delightful synergy encourages us to appreciate life’s abundance, valuing each moment as an opportunity to invest in our overall wellness.

Join Jenny & Ty on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Tuscany, to nourish the soul, body, and wine palate.

Ty Raju

Ty and his wife, Karen, are co-founders of BENE Hospitality Group, which includes its brands SAVI Cucina + Wine Bar, Sommba Cocina & Cellar, and Woodhaven Pizza. Ty’s obsession with wine began in 1991, when he was gifted an open bottle of Louis Latour Mersault Premier Cru from the late great country music star, Kenny Rogers. Ty couldn’t believe how ethereal and delicious white Burgundy could be when grapes grown in its most ideal climate met the hands of a masterful winemaker.

Since then Ty has been a student of wine, earning his Certified Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers and heading up the BENE wine program as its Wine Director. As its Wine Director, BENE Hospitality group has earned 6 Wine Spectator Awards, multiple “best wine program” awards in the Lowcounty and has garnered national attention in global publications, including Decanter. But what really keeps Ty going is his passion for teaching rising Sommeliers about the world of wine, and introducing BENE wine club members, guests, friends and family to wines they otherwise wouldn’t have known they absolutely love.

About the destination

Tuscany is not simply the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance: from north to south, it boasts a lot of places worth visiting. The story of Tuscany spans more than 3000 years of art, with architectural wonders, culinary delights and warm, welcoming hospitality.

Culture, food, art and traditions combined with gentle hills, vineyards and charming villages makes Tuscany not only the most dreamed Italian destination, but an unforgettable experience that will leave you the desire to discover more and more about this fabulous region.

About the hotel

The Torre a Cona Wine Estate stands strikingly in the Florence hills, only 10 kilometers from the birthplace of the Renaissance. The charming eighteenth-century villa makes an immediate impression. With an unforgettable view of the countryside, the charming estate is surrounded by olive groves, verdant vineyards and sturdy centuries-old walls. Each room is unique and original details include antique doors, wooden beams and terracotta floors.
