About This Event
Spend a week with Christine at the idyllic Cervo Mountain Resort for a very special Wordshop Series event, WORDSWORK: a week-long Wordshop immersive retreat designed to examine and challenge the narratives that drive our lives.
“The most powerful thing anyone can say to us is what we say to ourselves”.
Over the course of 5 days, participate in four live, in-person Wordshops with Christine and take a closer look at your inner monologue.
Through Christine’s powerful story-telling and guided writing and journaling experiments, you’ll learn to listen deeply and to practice editing the personal storylines that do not serve you.
In between wordshops you’ll have opportunities for a variety of activities on and around the lake, including hiking and even wakeboarding and photo walks.
Leave the week with a greater command over the profound and practical tools you’ve acquired.
You’ll be stronger in your practice of managing self-talk and more confident in your agency to own your story.
About the retreat leader
Christine is a public speaker whose work is rooted in self-talk. Our conversations with ourselves have a tremendous impact on our quality of life. Her WORDSHOPS™ are workshops in self-talk, providing profound and practical tools for editing our self-talk in real time.
Developing the skill to manage our inner monologue not is not only empowering, it is life-changing. Christine has a very down-to-earth authentic style that puts participants at ease, creating a comfortable space to face what we are really saying to ourselves.
Her one-hour Wordshops involve story-telling and an interactive flash writing experiment, culminating in a tool participants can easily take away and practice immediately. Her work covers topics from body-image to addiction and loss to corporate cultural growth and team-building.
WordsWork is her three-Wordshop immersive retreat course, designed to offer time and space away from regular life, in order to take an even deeper dive on self-talk. With additional journaling and guided writing experiments, you’ll have the opportunity to experience closer guidance from Christine on cultivating the art and skill of editing your self-talk. The goal is to establish a personal practice of mantra-making, and walk away feeling confident in your agency to own your story.
She is also a decorated competitive track cyclist, a Masters World Champion and 10X National Champion. As such, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as one of the original cycling instructors at Peloton. Her classes are grounded in the science of cycling and the power of words. Her unique style of mindful motivation inspires members of the Peloton community, reaching thousands of devoted riders every day.
She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, former Teacher Trainer for Schwinn Indoor Cycling and has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years.
